It started with a gin and tonic. Orbit was born one rainy Friday night back in 2013. Greg and Kate were sitting round their kitchen bench, after fairly hectic days at their respective jobs. Greg mixed Kate a rather delicious G&T and exclaimed, “I want more. I want more time to do the things we want, more freedom to travel and more control over our future.” And we don’t know if it was the gin, or the electric idea of doing something that made a difference, but Orbit was born.
Greg and Kate’s dream was to build a business that didn’t just keep the taxman happy, but made more possible for others in a simple and beautiful way. As Orbit grew, they discovered ‘more’ meant different things to different small businesses. For some, going into business meant they could afford more to send their kids to good schools, have more flexibility to go for a mid-afternoon surf, or even give more back to their community.
Our mission is to empower small businesses to chase their dreams and achieve their goals. This means we approach accounting and business advice from a different point of view, depending on your unique needs and wants.
By helping you to build better businesses, or simply giving you peace of mind that the accounting is in safe hands, we enable you to achieve the reason you actually went into business in the first place. We know you didn’t go into business to spend your Saturday night attempting to do your BAS, shuffling through shoeboxes and not really knowing how much you’re making. You want more. More time, more freedom, more control, more money, more impact. So leave the accounting and small business
expertise to us.
